Young People Plan!

Hello, Seekers of Advice

Before I begin today, I want to let all my seekers know that my internet is currently out. That means, I won't be able to post on the days I've planned to. At least not all the time, as you can see the last post was on Tuesday. And, I didn't post on Friday at all. If you're wondering, how I'm posting this and my internet is off--  I'm using the internet from a friend's house. Okay, the letter of the day is P--for planning.

I am 20 years old, and I've been told like many other young people that living on your own is too much responsibility.  It will be difficult--and blah blah blah...The true is it's not difficult! I think many people tell young adults stuff like that, because of the stereotypes about young people being lazy and irresponsible.
I love to plan out things. In fact, I've planned out my life for the next 10-15 years. Living on your own successfully, comes down to planing. And, I mean extreme planning.

My advice for young adults looking to get out there on their own is to plan. That means, creating a monthly living budget and sticking to it. Make sure to put aside money, in case you want a day of fun--and for emergencies--or for future plans. It takes months sometimes years of saving and preparing to have the things you want. Never loose track of your responsibilities! A great way to remember important things,  is to create a check list. List your monthly bills, rent, food, and toiletry expenses. Check them off, as you complete them.

If you're a single parent; that means you have to plan for yourself and your child or children.  For single parents, don't overwhelm yourself. If your child is old enough, teach them how to plan things to. It will help make things smoother for you, and teach them responsibilities earlier on. Remember seekers, planning is the key to successfully living on your own.

Sincerely,
Your Advisor...
